Deal your child a good hand with this fun game that teaches how to read faces. Making friends is easier once a child learns the cues for this important social skill.

Face Cards, an app implementation from the highly-successful Faceland software suite, features a pair of white-gloved magician hands and a pair of cards. Children must pick out each face that matches an emotion when they appear. The user can set the pace of the card dealing, which varies from unlimited time to a super-fast, super-challenging learning session. As your child taps on each face, he or she adds to a house of cards that rises higher and higher towards a levitating magic wand and a flying, fanciful conclusion.

Though fun, this learning is rigorous – dozens of correct responses are needed to win. The length of the game guarantees a feeling of true accomplishment. And these faces taken from real people are truly diverse, representing a wide range of ages and ethnicities, allowing your child to learn how to read nearly everyone.

Face Cards includes all the successful learning features Do2learn is known for. Answer keys and play guide continually remind your child how to pick out the right combination for each expression. It uses clues, spaced repetition, modeling and other proven pedagogical methods to achieve stunning results. Tested in controlled studies, Face Cards provides a successful learning program for all children, even those with special needs.

Face Cards is an important and engaging first step to helping your child thrive in the complex world of human emotions – which can be a challenge for all of us!

Face Cards features:
• A narrow focus on one emotion at a time, a critical emotion for all children to master
• A rewarding endgame designed to delight with zooming animations and wonderful wizardry
• Strict standards for success – many correctly-chosen cards are needed to win
• Clear, expressive faces showing a wide range of ages, races and emotions
• Randomization of correct responses and order for greater replay value
• Wrong answers are corrected with the right name for the expression
• Adjustable speeds for adjustable difficulty levels
• A rising house of carefully-stacked cards to show progress

If you’re frustrated that your child can’t interpret your face, we’re here to help with Face Cards. Try all three expressions as your child masters each one at a time.
